Kogi LGA Joint Action Union Endorses Gov. Ododo’s Second Term, Pass Confidence Votes On Engr. Bashiru.
The Joint Action Union, comprising of National Union of Local Government Employees, Nigeria Union of Teachers, Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, Non Academic Staff Union as well as the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, all in Kogi LGA, led by Comrade Yakubu Alhaji have endorsed the second term aspiration of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo.
The Joint Action Union made the endorsement in Kogi LGA, pointing out that the decision was arrived at based on their convincing factors that the Governor has kept with the tenets of good Governance.
The most especially said Gov. Ododo has done excellently well in the areas of prompt and regular payment of salaries, said his recent payment of arrears as well as payment of leave bonuses, endeared the Governor to their heart.
The Joint action Union in Kogi LGA said having considered all options available to the Union, resolved to back the second terms aspiration of Gov Ododo, declared Kogi LGA as sealed and delivered for the present occupant.
The Union equally hey used the medium to also pass a vote of confidence on Engr. Bashiru Gegu, Kogi Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu.
The Union described Engr. Bashiru as a solid support for them in Kogi LGA, urged him to sustain his support for the Governor as well as his good works that has put the APC in good stead in the Local Government Area.
Speaking, Engr. Bashiru Gegu described the decision to endorse Gov Ododo for a second term is a decision in the right direction, expressed optimism that the workers will remain the priority of the present administration.
