Kogi LG Polls: Engr. Bashiru Gegu, DG Campaign and other’s Urges APC Candidates, Parties Stalwarts To Work Toward Overwhelming Victory Of Party

 


The Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Kogi State Honourable Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu has urged candidates and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Kogi Koton Karfe Local Government to work for the total victory of the party in the October 19th council elections.

Engr. Bashir Gegu stated this at the party stakeholders meeting Held at the Local Government Secretariat on Thursday, in Koton Karfe.

Engr. Bashir Gegu, represented by Hon. Barr. Muhammad Abubakar Tanko Osuku, joined party leaders from the three zones to showcase the APC-led administration’s achievements in Kogi State noting that Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration has implemented 40% affirmative action for women in elective positions, effectively returning governance to the grassroots.

He urged the 11 Local Government campaign council Committees to promote unity and peace, ensuring APC’s continued success through collective efforts and solidarity.

Earlier in his address, the Local Government Chairman of the APC, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Onah commended Engr Bashir Gegu for his exemplary performance which he noted has made the local government elections campaign easier for the party.

He urged members of the party and campaign council committees to embark on door-to-door campaign to ensure total victory for the party in the October 19th council elections.

The State Deputy Party Chairman, Hon. Salihu Aliyu, made an impassioned appeal to party members, urging them to turn out in large numbers on October 19th, 2024.

He called upon members to cast their votes for all APC Chairmanship Candidate and Councillors across the 11 wards, ensuring the party’s continued success and building upon its impressive achievements under the APC leadership.

The Director General for Kogi Local Government Campaign Council, Hon. Bashir Ibrahim, made an impassioned plea to party members and stakeholders, stressing the imperative of a unified front in securing a decisive APC victory in the forthcoming October 19th Council Elections.

He called upon all members to collaborate diligently to achieve an unprecedented landslide triumph.

Taking remarks in turns, the party Stakeholders underscores the necessity of diligent effort to consolidate the robust foundation laid by the party’s visionary leadership whilst urging party members to deliver their polling units in the forthcoming council polls.

They expressed gratitude to His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his foresight in appointing Engr. Bashir Gegu, a renowned leader of impeccable stature, to spearhead critical initiatives.

In his vote thanks, Hon. Abdulmalik Musa expressed sincere appreciation to the party leadership and particularly Engr. Bashir Gegu for his visionary leadership and dedication to the Local Government’s advancement.

He appealed to party stakeholders to provide valuable insights and assured them of his unwavering commitment to upholding the trust placed in them.

The Local Government campaign council has unveiled the party’s campaign schedule, kicking off on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

The exciting lineup begins with a Flag-Up Ceremony at Central Primary School, Koton-Karfe. This will be followed by a Women and Youths Match Round in Koto, and subsequent rallies in Ozi (Zone-B) and Ahoko (Zone-C). The grand finale will take place in Koto, with full details to be revealed on Sunday.

The meeting was attended by stakeholders from across the 11 Wards of the Local Government and welcomed Honourable Khadijat Mama’a, who recently joined the party, into the fold.
