Parents have been asked to instill the virtues of hardwork, sincerity and trustworthiness in their children as a legacy that would stand the test of time long after they have departed this world.
Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, gave the charge at the funeral service held in honour of late Chief Mrs. Felicia Aderomi Adurodija, held at the St. Peters Anglican Church, Ogori Magongo, described the Late Chief Felicia Adurodija as an epitome of hardwork.
Hon. Fanwo notes that with virtues of sincerity, hardwork and discipline instilled on children, the world will witness a better place and witness reduction in antisocial vices.
The Commissioner extolled the qualities of the Late Chief Mrs Adurodija, pointing out that her worthy virtues are already surfacing and are noticed in the lives of the siblings she left behind.
The Commissioner described Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija, a sibling of the Ministry of Information as a hard-working and dedicated personality who gets things done with ease, disclosing that he is able to replicate those qualities of sincerity because they were instilled in him by his Late Mother.
In a sermon, the Clergyman, Rev. Cannon Amos Oyedele, described death as a necessary end, urged Nigerians to make their ways right with God.
He described sin as a surest pathway to destruction, urged men to repent from their wicked ways and make the society’a better place to live in.
Speaking on behalf of their Late Mother, Ebenezer Adurodija, described their Late Mother as a mother who made discipline and hardwork a way of life, said her lessons of hard work to make a living would continue to remain with them as long as they live.
