The Managing Director of Asmof investment concept limited, Barrister Suleiman Abdulmalik has reiterated the company’s commitment towards the completion of Kogi Hotel within a short period of time.
Barrister Abdulmalik disclosed this on Thursday, while reacting to reports that the project has been abandoned by the current administration.
The legal practitioner said the Kogi State Government has signed an agreement with the company for the construction, beautification and furnishing of Kogi hotel.
The Kogi hotel which started under the immediate past administration of captain idris wada according to Barrister Abdulmalik needs about N3.7billlion for it to be completely constructed, beautified and furnished.
Abdulmalik who assured that the hotel will be one of the best in the north central Nigeria said the hotel was concessioned to the company by the Kogi State government in March 2022.
While dismissing reports that the hotel has been sold out, Barrister Adulmalik said both the company and the government signed agreement for the completion of the hotel.
He added that, a total of N2.1billion has been spent so far by the previous and present administration on Kogi hotel project.
He said the hotel when completed will create job opportunities, attract local and foreign investors to Kogi State.
If completed and put into operation, a total of N5.8billion will be the total money spent on Kogi hotel project.
