KOGI HEALTH INSURANCE AGENCY COMMENCES BIOMETRIC ENROLMENT OF CIVIL SERVANTS INTO THE FORMAL SECTOR HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN IN PREPARATION FOR LAUNCH OF ACCESS TO CARE BY HIS EXCELLENCY ALHAJI YAHAYA ADOZA BELLO


Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has approved the commencement of the formal sector Health Insurance plan for Kogi State civil servants.
The Executive Secretary of Kogi State Health Insurance Agency, Dr Adekunle Aledare made this known during an interaction with newsmen in his office in Lokoja.

Dr Aledare said following the approval of the governor, the agency has commenced the Biometric enrollment of civil servants in the state.
The Executive Secretary said Kogi State Head of service, Mrs Hannah Odiyo was the first to be enrolled at the conference Hall of the Head of service office in Lokoja.
Other civil servants who were enrolled the same day include the chairman of the Kogi State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Gabriel Amari, Chairman National Joint Negotiating Council, Comrade Olusegun Alemeru.
Dr. Aledare said the agency will immediately commence the production of the identity cards of the enrolles adding that the process will be followed by the formal launch of the programme to kick start the activation of access to care in all the Kogi State Health Insurance Agency accredited hospitals across Kogi state.
