Kogi Guber: Group Pulls Massive Support in Yagba


 

…a mass movement of defectors from PDP, ADC others already recorded – Omodara

A flagship support group within the Kogi APC guber race, Okun United for Ododo, has pulled massive crowd at Isanlu, the political headquarters of Yagba land. The General Coordinator of the group, Commander Duro Jerry Omodara disclosed that there has been massive exodus of political gladiators from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Action Democratic Congress (ADC) and other parties in Okunland due to the deep and comprehensive reach of the group.

Speaking at a rally at Isanlu on Friday tagged Grand Okun Walk in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo at Isanlu, Yagba Federal Constituency on Friday, Omodara reeled out the gains made so far since the commencement of the campaign, noting that the political group has been to the nook and cranny of Okunland with a wide consultation among all relevant stakeholders.

He further stated that it was time for Okun to have a united front for the progress and development of the district. “When Okun come together to work for the progress and future of the district, it will be easier to demand for Okun governorship in due time”, Omodara said.

He also expressed confidence in the candidature of the APC candidate as a man with the pedigree to deliver on the job while stating in his capacity as the State Security Adviser that the election will be conducted peacefully as Ododo, the party’s candidate is also a man of peace.

The Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Folashade Ayoade, PhD and Commissioner for Environment, Victor Omofaiye in their separate remarks appealed to the people of Okun to vote for the APC governorship candidate as this will help to attract developmental projects in the district.

Mr Philip Orebiyi implored the people to give a highly significant vote to Ododo, and not waste their votes on candidates from other parties even though they are from those communities. As their candidacy cannot bring victory at the polls.

At the road walk were party supporters and residents of communities in Yagba Federal Constituency comprising of Mopa Moro, Yagba East and Yagba West with their Chairmen and Vice chairpersons.
