The recent illegal submission of Leke Abejide’s name in the list of ADC Gubernatorial candidates purportedly signed and delivered to INEC by Ralph Nwosu is nothing but a sordid departure from what is normal, usual, or expected and typically an unwholesome attitudes of inexperienced democrats.
It’s laughable for Leke to allow himself and his cohorts to be misled out of their characteristic despiratios by a despicable sinking Nwosu. It is utterly appalling and a total representation of illegality.
It’s no news that the said Ralph Nwosu’s tenure has been sacked by a Federal High Court since December 2022. The court went further to rebuke the INEC to had allowed Nwosu to sit tight as the National Chairman of ADC for a period of 17 years for a tenure that could only last for 2 terms of 4 years each. The Hon Justice Binta F. Nyako of Federal High Court Abuja in her judgement of …December, 2022 therefore terminated the illegal administration of Nwosu and gave further instructions in his judgement for a Caretaker Committee to be constituted to oversee the affairs of the party and organise a convention to elect a new national executive team to take charge thereof.
It’s therefore shameful that it’s that same Nwosu that signed a letter recommending Leke and two others as gubernatorial candidates of Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi States for the November governorship elections.
While insisting that Barr Williams Dele Bello remains the authentic Kogi State Gubernatorial Candidate of ADC, we hereby confirm that the said list submitted to INEC by Nwosu is illegal, nul and void and cannot stand the test of time.
We implore members of our party to remain calm as frantic efforts are being put in place to correct the unwholesome absurdity of Leke and his co-travelers in their shameful journey and illegality.
