Kogi govt vaccinates 2021 intending pilgrims against Covid-19


 

Kogi state government in collaboration with the Kogi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, (KSPHCDA), on Friday commenced the administration of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine on intending pilgrims for the 2021 Hajj exercise.

Thenigerianpost gathered that about six hundred intending pilgrims are expected to perform this year’s Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The leader of the team from the Kogi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KSPHCDA), Adagiri Bilkisu told our correspondent that the exercise was going on smoothly.

According to her, the intending pilgrims are responding positively and are cooperating with the officials.

She assured that there is enough vaccines to vaccinate all the intending pilgrims, saying that the exercise would last for three days.

Recalled that Kogi State government in collaboration with the Kogi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, on Tuesday commenced the vaccination of its citizens, beginning with Frontline health and other essential Workers

According to the kogi state Hajj Commssion, the exercise was in compliance with the directive of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON) that all 2021 intending pilgrims be vaccinated against the deadly coronavirus.
