The 2023 Governorship election is few weeks away and the APC stakeholders and members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Otutu Ward of Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State state are leaving no stones unturned.
The party members and leaders stormed the Ward on Thursday to join the unprecedented crowd who trooped out from their various places to the ward rally for the continuous redefinition of their decisiveness to the candidature of Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman and Comr Joel Oyibo Salifu.
The host ward, Otutu is the home of Zonal Vice Chairman to APC, Comr Mauzu Animoku, the Kogi State Coordinator on NEWMAP, Barr. Ladi Jatto, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Commerce and Industry, Hon. Abdulsalam Ibrahim Ahovi, A party stalwart, Hon. Abdulrasheed Adabara, The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Mahmoud Avovome Muhammed, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroots Sensitization, Prince Suleiman Adinoyi and host of others.
The APC Ward Chairman, Hon. Muhammed Obansa Abdullahi expressed confidence on the chances of the party in the coming elections. According to him, Otutu is APC and APC is Otutu, that the election will be be a one man show.
The APC Zonal Vice Chairman, Comr. Animoku in his remarks commended the party Stalwarts and all other party members that attended the rally. He highlighted the achievements of Governor Bello which he described as a total shift from the bad yesterdays, noting that consolidating with Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman will only brings more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
According to him, “Gov. Bello and the APC candidate know Otutu more than we all think, they know our yearnings and what we taste for, urging the people of Otututo repeat this same turnout during November 11 poll to vote massively for Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman.
The Special Adviser on Commerce and industry to Governor Bello, thanked the party members for their massive turnout for the unity rally, appreciated them for their commitment and dedication to the party and the candidate of APC. He noted that the massive turnout signifies that they appreciated the good leadership of Governor Bello and will be ready to vote Alh. Ododo to continue on his good legacies and take the state to more greater heights.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habiba Aliyu Onumoko expressed delight at Otutu ward’s outing, revealing that they have shown firmness in their decision to deliver the party and its candidate in the 2023 guber poll.
She added that, there is no doubt that Governor Bello through his good works, uncommon leadership style, magnanimity, political sagacity and inclusiveness has made the job of delivering the APC and its candidate easier for them. She therefore urged the people to continue canvassing for Alh. Ododo till November 11 poll.
Other who spoke are the event are; an APC Chieftain, Dr. Sanni Abdullahi Ozomata, Hon. Abdulrasheed Adabara, the Okene Council Leader, Hon. Bilikisu Onumoko and others who also intimate the people on the need to sweep it clean for the party and its candidate come November 11 gubernatorial election.
Others present at the rally include: The Special Adviser to the Governor on Domestic Matters, Hon. Kabiru Aliyu Jatto, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Hon. Salihu Ibrahim Oyegun; Alh. Ahmed Kashim, Hon. Adams Adabenege, Hon. Adozi-ogu Abdullahi and other party leaders.
