
Kogi Finance Commissioner, Asiwaju Idris Empowers MSME’s With N15,250,000.

MAAI Network For Governor Ododo MSMEs Support Grant Initiative, has presented cheques ranging from N1.5m and N500,000 respectively to support SMES in the State.

The presentation of the cheques, is a grant, followed an earlier training organized by the MAAI Network.

The grant is aimed at empowering the owners of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the State.
The beneficiaries were before the Cheques presentation taught Access to Finance and Business Growth Strategies.
MAAI Network is an initiative of Hon. Asiwaju Asiru Idris, the Kogi State Commissioner For Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, did the cheque presentation in collaboration with Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo’s administration.
In his remarks at the occasion, the Convener, Asiwaju Asiru Idris praised the administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo for creating an enabling environment that has enabled the ease of doing business in the State.
The Commissioner charged investors and businesses in the Country to take advantage of the enabling environment available for businesses to thrive to come and invest in the State.
Asiru charged the beneficiaries of the grant to make judicious use of the grants, pointing out that they will thrive if they delay gratification, said the idea of providing them support, is to help them to start small but grow big.
He added that the support is in a bid to support the growth and development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the State as envisioned by the administration of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, said the Governor’s priority is to see the State ranks top in attracting businesses and investment in the country.
In his presentation at the event, the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, urged the beneficiaries to imbibe the spirit of
discipline, remain focus, be prudent in spending, pointing out that with hardwork and dedication, their businesses will thrive.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Commerce, Hon. Muhammed Muktar Shuaibu, urged the beneficiaries to be sincere with themselves, remain dedicated and committed to the business, said with the knowledge business strategy, management and Access, they have been equipped with, assured they will be successful.

Anita Olorunjuwon, lauded the administration of Gov Ododo for the support through the MAAI Network initiative, pointing out that, it will help in improving their businesses.
Highlights of the event was the presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries numbering about 50 SMS’s, each getting N1.5m while others got N500,000., amounting to N15, 250,000
The MAAI Network’s MSME Support Grant Initiative was designed to foster economic growth and development in Kogi State by providing support to MSMEs.
