The Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, has felicitated with a distinguished leader and mentor, Prince Babatunde Irukera, on the auspicious occasion of his birthday.
In a birthday message released on Saturday in Lokoja, the Commissioner described Prince Irukera as a great leader whose life of service, integrity and commitment to nation-building continues to inspire generations of public servants and professionals across Nigeria.
“Asiwaju Asiru Idris expressed deep appreciation to Prince Irukera for being a worthy role model and a pillar of strength. Your guidance, wisdom and fatherly counsel have remained invaluable to me and to many others who have had the privilege of learning under your leadership,” the statement read.
The Finance Commissioner praised Prince Irukera for his remarkable accomplishments in public service, corporate governance and consumer protection, noting that his tenure and contributions have left enduring legacies that reflect brilliance, patriotism and dedication to the common good.
“Today we celebrate not just the years you have added, but the impact you have made. Your life is a testimony of excellence, humility and service. We thank God for the accomplishments recorded so far and we pray for brighter hope, greater grace and good health for you in the years ahead,” he said.
Asiwaju Asiru Idris prayed that the Almighty Allah would continue to grant Prince Irukera sound health, wisdom and strength to render more service to humanity and to the nation.
“On behalf of myself, my family, and the entire staff of the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, I wish you a very happy birthday. May this new age usher in more blessings, peace and fulfillment,” he added.
Prince Babatunde Irukera is widely respected as a lawyer, public administrator and former Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, FCCPC. He is celebrated for his reforms, advocacy for consumer rights, and commitment to transparency in governance.
