Kogi Education Commissioner Host Rector, Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute, Deputy Country Director KOICA).


 

The Hon. Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones today had in audience the Rector of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute, Williams Charles Oluwatoyin who had in his entourage the Deputy Country Director of the Korea international Corporation Agency (KOICA), Miss Park and there Project Management Consultant team, headed by Prof Zack and Dr Dianna Kim.

The Rector briefed the Commissioner on the activities of the Project Monitoring consultants who have been in Kogi state in the last couple of weeks, which includes intense local training of the academic staff of the Institute, setting up the Institutes E-library facilities and the provision of 40 brand new computers, 9 brand new printers and a brand new photocopier machine.

KOICA appealed to the state government to see to the full accreditation of the Institute – a process the Rector has already Kick-stated, so that KOICA continues it’s massive support to the Institute as part of their obligation as partners with the state government.

The Commissioner while responding, appreciated the Rector for his massive transformation of the Institute and thanked KOICA , it’s consultants assuring them of His Excellency’ unwavering commitment to the growth of NKFI, hinting them of Governor Yahaya Bella’s massive legacy projects in education. He assured them that when they return in April, the institute would have attained full accreditation status.
