The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja today commissioned Nana college of Nursing and Health Sciences Anyigba, Kogi State.

In addition to the commissioning, the institution also held Inaugural lecture and matriculation of new students in the institution.

The Deputy Governor in his speech thanked the proprietor of the institution Dr OJ Amedu for complementing the efforts of the State Government, Under Gov Yahaya Bello in the improvement of health sector of the state.

In his reply to the request of the Provost of the institution Mrs Joy Abalaka, the Deputy Governor maintained that his position as Deputy Governor is a position of responsibility and not total authority but promised to pass the
request for support and access road to the Governor for a possible consideration.

The Deputy Governor also emphasized on the fact that in nearest future by reason of this establishment, Kogi state will rank among the best states providing better heath services in Nigeria and globally.

This occasion was well attended by dignitaries including the Registrar Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba, Dr Nuhu Audu, the Chief Medical Director of Prince Abubakar Audu teaching Hospital Anyigba ,Dr SPO Akogu , Dr Usman Zekeri CMD health Management Board Kogi state and also a commissioner designate.

The Deputy Governor and of course the dignitaries were overwhelmed with the available medical gadgets and equipment in the laboratory and of course other departments for the training of the students.
Vote of thanks was given by the Registrar of the college , Mr Ameh Musa.
