Comr. Omonu Joshua, aka Levels Pumping, former Senior Special Assistant to Former Gov. Yahaya Bello has described as unnecessary the call for the immediate Chief of Staff, Alhaji Ali Bello to copy the style of his predecessors, pointing out that individuals are different with leadership styles, described the current Chief of Staff as a man of the moment who is doing so much for the youth of the State.
Comr. Omonu described the present Chief of Staff to his Excellency Alhaji Usman Ododo the executive Governor of Kogi as the most unassumingly active CoS in recent times, praised him for his laudable Programs and policies.
He praised the present Chief of Staff for initiating and coming up with many programs that has benefitted the youths more than any Chief of Staff the State ever had, praised him for working with the vision of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo as it concerns the youths mostly of the State.
He said working with Gov. Ododo the youths of the State are feeling the impact of the administration through the bursary scheme, unprecedented appointment and several other packages lined up for the State.
Hon. Omonu described the present Chief of Staff as one working to surpass the former occupants of the office of the CoS, urged him not to look back but strive for forward ever.
He said the present CoS has opened up channels of communication, described him as one with open door policies that has made impact.
He described the love by the Ebira Vonya group as welcome development however lamented that it was wrong going on the social media to express it feelings when the Chief of Staff is well known to be accessible.
According to Hon. Omonu, mentioned the ” Improvement in Infrastructure: Under the consolidation leadership of Governor Ododo, several tertiary institutions in Kogi State have seen remarkable infrastructural upgrades. From new classroom blocks, lecture halls, and laboratories, road networks to better-equipped libraries, hostels, and administrative offices, the improved learning environment has made a significant difference in our academic experiences.
“Enhanced Security on Campuses: The safety and security of students have always been a priority for this administration. We appreciate the deliberate steps taken to improve campus security, ensuring that we can study in a peaceful and safe atmosphere. The installation of security equipment and the deployment of more security personnel across campuses have greatly reduced cases of insecurity, allowing students to focus on their studies without fear.
“Support for Technological Advancements and Digital Learning: Recognizing the role of technology in modern education, His Excellency has also championed the integration of technology into our educational systems. We have seen increased investment in ICT facilities across campuses, the promotion of digital learning platforms, all of which have enhanced our learning experiences and made education more accessible.
“Commitment to Job Creation and Youth Empowerment: Beyond education, Governor Ododo’s
administration has been proactive in creating avenues for youth employment and entrepreneurship.
“The various skills acquisition programs, internships, and empowerment schemes introduced by this government have equipped many of our colleagues with the tools and knowledge to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to society.
“Promoting inclusiveness and Student Participation in Governance: The inclusion of student voices in key decision-making processes has not gone unnoticed. We appreciate the open-door policy of this administration, which has allowed us to engage constructively with government officials on issues affecting students. This has fostered a sense of belonging and encouraged student participat’on in governance.
“Sustaining the Policy of Free Education at Lower Levels: The decision of the Ododo administration to continue with the lofty initiative of free education and payment of both internal examinations remains very commendable as it has helped to remove the burden on our parents, thereby helping to channel such funds into other things”, called on the Ebira Vonya group to join hands in building a virile and sustainable Kogi State.
