
The Kogi State Chapter of JAMA’ATU NASRIL ISLAM (JNI) has commissioned a beautiful edifice to serve as a Secretariat for overseeing the organization’s activities in the five local government areas of the entire OkunLand.

The Secretariat which is situated at Ayetoro-Gbede in Ijumu Local Government Area is expected to be the Cardinal point for coordinating JNI Activities in the areas.

The office complex was restructured, remodeled, and equipped by the Islamic organization as an administrative post in the Okun-speaking area of kogi state.

The State Chairman of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) Ambassador Usman Bello in his address said that the memorable occasion is another milestone of the organization to better coordinate her activities and propagate Islamic religion in the five local government areas.

He added that JNI is committed to promoting peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance in the state.
Amb. Bello also noted that the State Government has continually accorded the organization tremendous encouragement saying that they will continue to spread their tentacles to all parts of the state through provisions of befitting places of worship for lovers of Islam.
Governor Yahaya Bello who was represented by the Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Ashiru Idris advised the people to adhere to the teachings of Islam and be practitioners of the tenets of Islam.
He disclosed that the government of Yahaya Bello would not relent in ensuring a conducive environment for all to practice their religion and faith adding that all religion must embrace peace because a peaceful society is what is needed for the development.
Also Speaking, the Chief host and Chairman of the Ijumu Council area Hon Taofiq Isa encouraged Muslim youths from the area to venture into politics and play active roles in order to serve as exemplary representatives of Islamic religion in politics.
On his part, The State Secretary of JNI and Chairman Organizing Committee Alhaji Isa Adeboye while presenting the reports of his committee noted that Kogi State JNI decided to renovate the old secretariat to meet up with the modern outlook. He disclosed that they changed the old roof to long-span aluminum, changed all the doors, windows, and burglary proof as well as electrical fittings.
