Kogi APC Intact, Will Deliver on Tinubu Ododo Mandate Overwhelmingly – Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael.

The Executive Chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, has declared that the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State is united, intact, and fully mobilized to deliver an overwhelming mandate for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the forthcoming elections.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Lokoja, Barr. Dare described the Tinubu administration as one that has been rewarding to Kogi State, noting that its accomplishments in human capital development and infrastructure have surpassed past administrations since the advent of Nigeria’s nascent democracy in 1999.
The Chairman hinged his resolve of an overwhelming victory on what he called President Tinubu’s unprecedented impact in Kogi State within a short period. He pointed to accelerated federal attention to critical road projects linking Kogi to the North and South, including ongoing work on the Abuja-Lokoja-Okene-Benin Highway and the Lokoja-Auchi road corridor, which have improved trade and reduced travel time for citizens and farmers across Kogi West and Central.
He also highlighted the implementation of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, which has enabled hundreds of Kogi students in Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State University, and other tertiary institutions to access interest-free loans for tuition, easing financial burden on parents.
Barr. Dare further noted the timely distribution of federal palliatives, conditional cash transfers, and food relief to vulnerable households across Kogi’s 21 LGAs to cushion the effect of subsidy removal, with Kogi State being one of the first to receive and transparently distribute allocations.
He added that federal agricultural input programs and dry-season farming support have expanded to Kogi farmers, including distribution of seedlings, fertilizers, and tractors through the Ministry of Agriculture, boosting yield for rice, cassava, and maize farmers in Kabba-Bunu, Yagba, and Kogi LGA. He also cited support for federal health initiatives in the state, including revitalization of primary health centres under the Basic Health Care Provision Fund and improved supply of essential drugs to rural clinics, which have strengthened healthcare access at the grassroots.
According to him, commitment to improving power supply to Kogi communities through federal intervention in transmission infrastructure, alongside a more investor-friendly environment, has attracted renewed interest in Kogi’s solid minerals and agro-processing sectors.
“These achievements are unprecedented and visible,” Barr. Dare stated. “That is why we are confident. The people of Kogi have felt the impact of President Tinubu’s administration and they are ready to reciprocate with votes.”
Speaking on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Chairman described him as a humanitarian per excellence who has created an enabling environment for Christians and Muslims to cohabit peacefully in the state. He lauded the governor’s consistent support for the two major religious organizations and his deliberate policy of making youth, the aged, and women the core of his administration’s agenda.
Barr. Dare expressed optimism that the three demographics mentioned are a hundred percent ready to deliver APC because they have directly benefited from Ododo’s policies. He further praised the governor’s attention to detail, calmness, and his capacity as a very organized, seasoned administrator and manager of men and resources, adding that these qualities stand him out and have made him a perpetual promise keeper.
“The administration of Governor Ododo has shown that governance is about results, not rhetoric. That is why Kogi people have taken ownership of the Tinubu and Ododo second term ambition. It is now the people’s personal project,” he said.
“It is our personal project. We are not leaving any stone unturned. Nothing short of an overwhelming victory for the mandate of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo in Kogi State. APC Kogi has made it a personal project to shut down doubting Thomas. There is no place for any other opposition party candidates in Kogi. Kogi is already taken for APC, Tinubu and Governor Ododo.”
He described the APC as one united family, stressing that “whatever binds us is greater than what divides us, and said the party has mechanisms to forge unity as demonstrated in the time past to come out stronger and win all its elections”.
With grassroots mobilization intensifying across Kabba-Bunu and other LGAs, the APC in Kogi State, Barr. Dare says it is leaving nothing to chance as it works to consolidate the gains of the Tinubu and Ododo administrations.
