The Former Honourable Commissioner of Finance,Budget and Economic Planning who doubles as an erstwhile frontline Gubernatorial aspirant under the progressive party APC, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has sent his heartfelt congratulatory message to Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in Commemoration of his resounding victory recorded at the APC Gubernatorial Direct primary, which took place across the state yesterday, 14th April, 2023.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo was declared winner of the primary election scoring 78,704 votes to defeat the other six contestants in the direct primary election and to that extent become the candidate of APC in the coming general election in November.
Asiwaju in his congratulatory message released through his media Assistant discribed the victory of Alhaji Usman Ododo as a victory for the New Direction administration, which is an euphemism for Excellence in service, progressivism, Unification and Good Governance. As our candidate in the progressive fold, APC, we have made a right choice in him, owing to his endearing character and unblemished qualification, which will help achieve huge electoral victory for the party.
In his words ” Alhaji Usman Ododo is a progressive to the core, cultured in character, a Good Governance advocate, development enthusiast and a pro-people leader who will, in it fullness, advance and build on the giant strides of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello. His demonstration of excellence and delivery of efficient service as the auditor general for Local Government is a valid testament that he will perform as the Governor when he becomes after the 11th of November, 2023 General election”.
“Although, we were both product of a purposeful and well organised system led by our leader and Principal, Governor Yahaya Bello, whose under leadership, we have been well shaped and equipped to take on higher assignment, but providence of Almighty Allah through our leader choose him to lead at a time like this. Going forward, be rest assured of my full support, as we will do everything within the ambit of the electoral law to come out victorious at the general election”.
