
Kogi ADC Swells As Hundreds of APC, SDP, LP, Obedient Movement Members Join Party.

The opposition African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Kogi State has harvested hundreds of defectors from the ruling APC, SDP, LP, Obedient members into it fold.

This happened at the ADC Oworo Ward in Lokoja LGA Decamping Ceremony and Membership Registration flag off held at Olympic Hotel, Felele. The event witnessed hundreds of defectors from other political parties joining the ADC.

Receiving the defectors, Sen. Tunde Ogbeh, North Central Zonal APC Leader, represented by Hon. Yabagi Bologi, described the ADC as a Party that is people centric.
He expressed optimism that Nigeria and Kogi State will experience a turn for the better in all areas of life if the ADC forms Government, lamented that just like Nigeria, Kogi has become headquarter of poverty amongst comity of states.
Sen. Ogbeha praised the decampees for the wise decision in joining the ADC, commended the decampees for their courage and great thinking.
He urge Nigerians to try the alternative, pointing out that the ADC has the interest of Nigerians at heart, warned Nigerian’s not to do same thing same way in 2027.
Ogbeha expressed optimism that ADC will form government in 2027, pointing out that Nigerians have rejected the ruling Party for inflicting so much pains on them, said enough is enough, described 2027 as a defining moment for Nigerians.
Some prominent Leaders of ADC from Lokoja LGA that attended the decamping ceremony include; Hon. El Shettima Agbogun, Hon. Bawa Yakubu, Dr. Shehu Idris amongst several others.
In his remarks, Rev. Zacchaeus Jonathan, formerly of the APC and spokesperson of the decampees, said his decision and others to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is anchored on integrity and strong leadership exhibited by the Party that is credible.
He urge Kogites to make informed choices in 2027, pointing out that the next election present an opportunity to return Kogi State to prosperity.
Also Speaking, Suleiman Aturu, another defector to the ADC said the ruling Party has shown insensitivity to the plight of Nigerian’s and Kogites in particular, assured that the end of APC has come in the State with the quality of persons joining the ADC.
In his welcome address, Hon. Umar Ashorun, Ward Chairman, Oworo Ward, said the ADC has opened 20 registration Centres, to cover the 49 registration Centres in Oworo Ward. He called on Nigerian’s to join hands in ensuring the survival of the nation, welcome the decampees into the Party.
He assured them of equal opportunities, urged them to help Nigerian’s to come out of it present predicament of insecurity and poverty.
Highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of ADC membership cards to the new members and sensitization on the ongoing membership registration of the Party.
