Kogi ADC Ratifies Muhammed as State Youth Leader, Affirms Omala LGA Party Leadership

The Kogi State Caretaker Working Committee of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, held its meeting on Monday, 17th August 2026 at the State Secretariat and issued a communique ratifying key appointments and affirming reconciliation efforts within the party.

In a statement signed by the Caretaker State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Alhaji Abubakar Bawa Yakubu, the committee announced the ratification of Hon. Danjuma Muhammed of Ankpa LGA as the substantive State Youth Leader. He replaces Mr. Usman Suleiman, also of Ankpa LGA.

The committee also considered and affirmed the Interim Report of the Party’s State Reconciliation Committee chaired by His Excellency, Engr. Musa Wada. Key resolutions from the report include:

Hon. Jeremiah Adaji has been confirmed as the substantive ADC Chairman for Omala LGA chapter.
A Vote of Confidence was passed on Hon. Idoko Peter as the ADC candidate for the Omala State Assembly Constituency in the upcoming 2027 general election.
The ratified substantive list of other ADC Executive members for the Omala LGA chapter will be communicated in due course.

Speaking after the meeting, the State Chairman, Hon. Tom Zakari, Ph.D, commended the Reconciliation Committee under Engr. Musa Wada for what he described as “a job well done.”

He urged all members of the ADC in Kogi State to “remain supportive, faithful and dedicated to the ideals of our great party” as preparations for future elections gather momentum.
