KOGI @35: A MESSAGE OF HOPE AND CALL TO PEACEFUL PARTICIPATION AHEAD OF 2027
As, we celebrate 35 years of Kogi State.
From the day of our creation in 1991, Kogi has stood as the Confluence State — a symbol of unity where the Niger meets the Benue, and where people of diverse tongues and traditions live as one.
In 35 years, we have faced challenges, but we have sumounted and recorded progress. Our farmers feed the nation. Our youths serve across Nigeria. Our land is blessed with resources and with people of courage.
As we approach the 2027 General Elections, I call on all sons and daughters of Kogi and Nigeria to embrace hope over despair, and peace over violence.
Let us use this anniversary to renew our commitment to development. Let us elect leaders who will fix our roads, strengthen our schools and hospitals, secure our communities, and create opportunities for our youths. Let us vote wisely, protect our votes, and ensure that the voice of Kogi is heard clearly in 2027.
Our country is at a defining moment. 2027 is an opportunity to choose competence over sentiment, accountability over excuses, and unity over division. The power to shape our future is in the ballot. Let us use it responsibly.
Avoid experimentation new leadership at the top because we should allow the tracjectory of the South to complete their tenure for simless rotation of the presidency in 2031.
Kogi at 35 reminds us that states are built by the collective will of the people. Nigeria will also be built by our collective will.
I remain confident that our best days are ahead. With peace, with unity, and with purposeful leadership, Kogi will grow stronger, and Nigeria will rise again.
