Eunice is the Executive Director of Challenged Parenthood Initiative (CPI) one of the Leading NGOs in Kogi State, Nigeria.
A proud Kogite who hails from Ogori – Magongo LGA in the Central senatorial district. Her early Life and school started from Maiduguri, Borno State and Zaria, Kaduna State in the northern part of Nigeria. She has lead several advocacies in kogi state and in Nigeria.
Ms. Eunice is the convener of the Kogi State Get Out the Vote and Stop Violence Against Women in Politics Campaign, also the Initiator, Convener and Sponsor of the Kogi State Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Law which was passed by the Kogi State House of Assembly and Assented into law by the past immediate Governor.
She’s a member of the advocacy Team of the Kogi State Disability Right Law.
She’s also a strong advocate for the fight against all forms of Gender Based Violence Against the Boys and Girls Child and women.
Ms. Eunice would be conferred with the award As The Ambassador For Violence Against Persons in the Society, this is in view of her efforts in pushing for the VAPP law.

The event is scheduled to take place at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja on August 26, 2024 at 10:00am, will have Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo as the Special Guest of Honour.
His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, former Governor of Kogi State, the Minister for Steel Development, Prince Shaibu Audu Abubakar alongside other very important personalities within and outside Kogi State will also serve as Guests of Honour at the event.
The 2024 public lecture will be Chaired by Prof. Stephen Ikani Ocheni, former Minister of State, Labour and Employment.
His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
Speakers at the event will include; Prof. Marietu Tenuche, Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar University, Anyigba, Prof. John Alabi, Dr. Salisu Usman Ogbo, Rector , Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja and Ambassador Hamza Aliyu, CEO, Connected Development.
Recall that in 2023, THE NIGERIAN POST held it Annual Lecture and Gold Prize themed “Sustaining Nigeria’s Democracy. This House Must Not Fall”, with Prof. Akinwumi Olayemi, Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja as the guest speaker of the event.
This year’s event will feature a special presentation by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Deedat Ozigi, on “Towards Grassroots Development: Gov. Ododo’s Example, So Far, So Good.
The 2024 edition “aims to celebrate and critically examine the creation of Kogi State 33 years after, by discussing its unity as cardinal to future prospects and possibilities”.
According to a statement by the Publisher of THE NIGERIAN POST, Mr. Abu Michael, this year’s event will honour some distinguished personalities who have contributed to the development of the State.
Some individuals for the Gold Prize Award include: Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isa Kutepa, CEO, Walter Smith Oil, Sen. Tunde Ogbeha while late Prince Abubakar Audu, first Executive Governor of the State would be honored posthumously.
“The Gold Prize Award for Grassroots Development will also be presented to some selected former Caretaker Council Chairmen in the State and other individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the development of the State.
The former Caretaker Committee Chairmen of Lokoja, Igalamela, Kabba Bunu, Ijumu, have been listed for recognition following their outstanding repositioning of their Council administration when they served.
“Our 2024 Awardees are persons who made the critical differences in the discharge of their duties, with uncommon zeal and commitment to the common good of the citizens and the State in particular,” the statement read.
According to a survey conducted by a Top IT Company in Nigeria specialized in survey on behalf of the Nigerian Post, observed that the selected awardees have remarkably turnaround infrastructural renewal, aggressive pursuit of development across the State.

Eunice Abimbola Agbogun had her NYSC in 2001 – 2002, but traveled abroad, lived and worked on the island of St. Maarten, Dutch West Indies, Caribbean Island where she had an outlet and promoting African culture and fashion.
She’s a graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where she obtained her first degree in Geography and later had her post graduate in Community Health in Sociology from the then Kogi State University, Ayingba.
She’s had several professional trainings on Governance, Gender Justice and Climate Change and in other Development and Social Work.
She’s a focused individual with over 15 years experience as a good governance propagator, Human Right Activist, social and development resource analyst, gender programming enthusiast, NGO management expert, women empowerment adviser, training and capacity building specialist, SDG monitoring adviser, project Manager, public presentation expert, economic empowerment resource person and change manager.
The Kogi State Government has engaged her in several committees as a representative of the civil society organizations. Such as The judicial Commission of Inquiry into the civil Disturbance in some communities in kogi state, The Kogi Youth Development Commission, The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) just to mention a few.
Her professional experiences in capacity development, gender mainstreaming and analysis, economic empowerment, Women and Youth intervention, health advocacy, community development and humanitarian intervention and high level of performance in relationship building, decision-making and communication , project planning, implementation and execution made her to be sort after as coordinator of various Networks, Coalitions and movement within the civic space as well as Head of Various Units and Departments within the faith based organization at various times.
Currently she’s the coordinator of the following Networks in Kogi State.
North Central Representative of the Nigerian Civil Society Situation Room, The Kogi Women Constituency Lead, a movement of diverse women groups cut across kogi state, Gender and Constitution Reform Network (GECORN), Coalition of Societies for the Rights of Older Persons in Nigeria (COSROPIN), The Nigeria Network on Peace and Security for Women in the ECOWAS Region (NOPSWECO) just to mention a few.
She has attended as well as organized several professional activities, workshops, seminars and capacity training such as the following just to mention a few.
