
The Kogi State Government has flagged off three projects valued at the cost of N13million in Ajaokuta LGA, under the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency.

The projects flagged off would be fully funded by the State Government, includes the construction of the access road, upgrading the Community’s transformer as well as the donation of another brand new transformer to Harmony Community in the 200 Unit.

Performing the Flag off ceremony, after the presentation of the cheques to the Community today, Gov. Yahaya Bello, charged the Community to own the projects, described the consideration done to them amidst several other communities as a privilege, urged the community to guide the projects jealously.

The Governor who was represented by the Chairman of Ajaokuta LGA, Hon. Mustapha Akaaba, called on the Community to strive for excellence and judicious use of the monies meant for the projects, assured that the community stand to benefit more projects if well implemented.

The Governor described good governance as the ability to meet the yearning and aspirations of the people, assured of more projects by his administration for deserving communities in the State.

The Governor said his administration has within available resources provided succour for rural communities in the State, commended the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency for bringing development closer to the people and hard to reach communities as envisioned by his administration.
Gov. Bello expressed satisfaction that through the KGCSDA, government presence is being felt in nearly all communities in the State, assured that no community would be left behind in the equitable distribution of infrastructure when the opportunity present itself.
Earlier in a welcome remarks, the General Manager of KGCSDA, Mall. Dauda Momoh said the projects flagged off include the construction of concrete access road, upgrade of transformer as well as the donation of a 33kva transformer to Harmony Community.
He said the road which will be fitted with drainage, upgrade and donation of another transformer to Harmony Community is a demonstration of the love Gov. Bello has for the people.
In a speech delivered by the Chairman, Community Project Monitoring Committee, Hinmikaiye T.J, expressed gratitude to Gov Yahaya Bello for the gesture, said the road and electricity projects would go a long way in improving the socio economic well-being of people in the Community.
