The attention of the Katsina State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, has been drawn to a spurious, mischievous and illogical press statement in which it purport that the Governorship Candidate of our party, Sen. Garbo Yakubu Lado has withdrawn from the Governorship race.
This misinformation is not only senseless, stands logic on its head, it is also laughable that by all standard, permutations, opinion polls, popularity and above all competence and character of Sen. Garba Yakubu Lado that makes him acceptable as the next Governor of Katsina State, the All Progressives Congress will stoop so low to want to deceive the people of Katana State
The said fake and sponsored Press Statement is a clear desperation of the ruling Party APC to discredit the PDP gubernatorial candidete who is by the day gaining popularity from the electorate.
Only recently the APC alleged that PDP plans to import thugs from neighboring state to disrupt the Saturday polls, another mischief geared towards discrediting Senator Yakubu Lado and the PDP. As many who have crossed the path of the PDP Candidate, Sen. Lado is synonymous with peace and development.
We wish to state therefore that the PDP gubematorial candidate is very much in the race and coasting home to victory in the forthcoming Governorship Election. Recalled that only recently Senator Yakubu Lado received hundreds of Nigerian Labour Congress members who have thrown there support for the PDP in the March 11 gubematorial election, another indication that he is very much in the race.
The PDP Gubernatorial candidate it is important to place on record also received academic and non-academic staff Of tertiary institutions in Katsina State, they also pledged to support his candidature.
The PDP wish to urge people of Katsina state to disregard the fake press release and sympathize with the APC having been outrightly rejected by the people for it woeful performance in the governance of the State, urged the APC to desist from issuing fake news in the interest of peace.
The propaganda machine of the Government and Katsina APC of the purported withdrawal of the leading and next Governor of Katsina State is therefore fake and in the figment of the imagination of the losing APC.
That the APC is jittery, scared, and has become a drowning party looking for what to hold, would no longer deceive the good people of Katsina State as it will be defeated roundly in the forthcoming Governorship Election.
We make bold to State that the result of the just concluded Presidential Election in Katsina State speaks volumes, with the people of Katsina State ready to repeat same feat for the PDP Governorship Candidate in the Governorship election.
While no amount of lies, propaganda, jaundiced Press Statement would sway the pendulum of win in support of the PDP Governorship candidate to win overwhelmingly, as the people are now more wiser than the APC thinks.
We wish to add that the massive defection of NNPP members in Katsina State to the APC having adopted the Governorship Candidate of the PDP is another clear indication that Sen. Lado remains the candidate to beat in the forthcoming Governorship Election.
We therefore call on the good people of Katsina State to discountenance the misinformation of the APC as null and void, as the PDP Governorship candidate is still much in the race, will win overwhelmingly in the forthcoming Governorship Election.
