Kabba/Bunu LGA Council Chairman Presents N9,494,604, 570bn Budget, Targets Infrastructure, Social Development And Economy Growth

 

The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael, on Wednesday, presented a proposed budget estimate of N9,494,604,570 to the council legislatures for consideration and approval.

Zacchaeus, while presenting the budget, tagged, “Budget of Economy Growth and Social Development,” said the budget will critically focus on improving on the living standard of our people with emphasis on social development, infrastructure, youths and women empowerment.

He said, “Out of the budget, personnel cost gulped N2,950,229,390bn, representing 46.39 per cent, overhead cost at N1,823,386,870bn while capital expenditure is at N4,720,988,310bn representing 53.51 per cent of the budget.

The Chairman assured the citizens that his administration would continue to accord priority to their welfare.

The Council Leader, Hon (Mrs.) Comfort Olufunke Obaromi, promised the legislators’ commitment to working closely with the chairman for the successful implementation of the 2026 budget.

“We pledge to conduct thorough oversight of all government arms in order to guarantee transparency, accountability and responsible allocation of resources.

“Let me assure you that we will set the ball rolling immediately to ensure swift passage of the appropriation bill.

“This, as usual, will translate to prompt implementation and execution of policies, as well as timely completion of all projects in the coming year,” she said.

Zacchaeus use the occasion to reassure residents of the local government area on his commitment to neutralize men of evil and criminals in all the affected areas within the local government.

He urges the good people of Kabba/Bunu LGA to join hands with his administration as it is desirous to making our local government an envy amongst the local governments in Nigeria.

“Let me pay glowing tribute to the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his outstanding achievements that have impacted on the well-being of the people of bringing his vision for local government administration a reality as we will ensure that his dreams and vision as encapsulated in his Renewed New Direction is realized.

He commended the governor for his unwavering commitment and consistent support to strengthen the local government security architecture in order to stamp out criminality and banditry in our dear Kabba/Bunu LGA.
