Kabba/Bunu LGA Chairman Sues For Unity, Peace At Christmas, Asks Residents To Trust His Govt To Tackle Insecurity
The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael has appealed to citizens to trust his administration in its efforts to “restore peace, security and prosperity” across the local government area.
The Chairman goodwill message to Nigerians and others around the world is to embrace peace and show love to one another, as a reflection of what Christmas symbolizes for all of humanity.
In a statement released on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Omofa John, Zacchaeus urged Nigerians to “approach this season of Christmas with optimism and renewed faith in ourselves and our country.”
“For me, providing security for all residents of the local government remains my topmost priority. It formed a vital segment of this administration’s agenda right from inception, and we must follow through with it,” the chairman added.
Zacchaeus encouraged citizens to uphold moral principles, exhibit faith, and contribute to the progress of the country through Acts of love and kindness.
“On behalf of the people of Kabba/Bunu LGA, APC party and my family, I bring you greetings as we celebrate this year’s Christmas.
“As we celebrate, let’s, therefore, live with optimism, sacrifice, peace and love towards one another and our nation. Let us manifest justice, patience and faith which are virtues exemplified by Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. This is the way to build our societies.”
“Under my watch, the Government will continue to provide the needed support within our available resources to the gallant members of our armed forces and security agencies as they confront threats to our citizens.
“I cannot in good conscience shirk this cardinal responsibility to secure lives and property. I feel pained each time a breach of peace and security occurs in any part of the local government. I am even more distressed when our elders, especially children, aged mothers and fathers, are the targets and victims of mindless and malevolent elements in the society. As a parent, I share the emotional torture and agony parents and families go through whenever their loved ones fall into the cruel hands of these enemies of decency and good society.”
“We shall remain focused on following the complex, multi-dimensional route to reducing the incidents of insecurity to the barest minimum. Our people must be free to live and move without fear or hindrance.
“I have absolute confidence in the spirit of resilience of our people to do the needful and remain vigilant even as this festive season witnesses increased travels and celebrations.
“I wish all Nigerians , particularly the people of Kabba/Bunu LGA divine protection and Merry Christmas.”
