Kabba Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency: I’m seeking to represent our people to do more than others – Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole


 

 

The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole says he is seeking to represent the people of Kabba Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency in the National Assembly pointing out that he has what it takes to do better than others who have represented the Constituency.

 

 

Prince Kolawole made the assertion at the ongoing Kogi NUJ Media Parley Organised For National Assembly Aspirants says if elected he will surpass the records of his predecessors.

 

The Speaker said he will use his influence of belonging to the APC to  influence and lobby the Government at the centre for democracy dividends, says he is very much qualified in terms of legislative experience to represent the people having served as a two time Lawmaker and Speaker.

 

He promised if elected to the National Assembly, take issues that has to do with the health of the people a priority, says for the love of his people, he will facilitate the health care delivery needs of his health using the National Health Insurance Scheme.

The Lawmaker disclosed that he is working on two health care Institutions to improve on the health of his people, promised to do more if elected and to carry on with health intervention program across the constituency if elected.

 

While noting that he has empowered youths and women of his Constituency, promised to do more if elected, says his represention will not do things the usual way, rather rewarding to the people.

 

 

Prince Kolawole says he has mobilized alot of Youths, women, Widows Association through his numerous empowerment programs that has made remarkable Impact in the lives of the people, promised to expand the scope if elected.

 

Through his skills acquisition Program, 375 persons he noted have been trained in shoe making, tailoring, said they were given starter packs at the end of the training to start up on their own businesses, while some he said he empowered with cash to suport their petty businesses.

The Speaker says owing to the Sallah and Political activities, the Kogi State House of Assembly is on recess and not under lock and keys says the assembly members are on recess, so as to concentrate on politics, described the rumors making the rounds as the handiwork of mischief makers that the Assembly is under lock.

 

Through his students Relief Support, said he has offered scholarships, paid for school fees for many indegient Students’ as  palliative. This he said Include him buying JAMB, NECO and WAEC form across Kogi State

 

He promised to continue with his school quiz competition, described security as everybody’s business, said he has presented a bus and two motorcycles to aide security agencies and vigilantes

 

He assurred of his continued support for sports Development in the State to improve on the health, and employment needs of the people of his constituency if elected.

The Speaker disclosed that as the Chairman of Kogi State Tennis Association, he has ensured improved budgetary provision for tennis and for sports promised that if elected he will do more for sports Development for his Constituency.

 

While noting that he has enjoyed the confidence of members of the Assembly, a feat that has enable him served as the longest Speaker of the assembly, reiterated that the House is in tact, and enjoys the confidence of the members.

 

If elected Prince Kolawole says he will help legislate on ways to improve on security situation in Kabba Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency

 

He concluded by saying Youth Empowerment through ensuring that agriculture which is the mainstay of the people enjoy priority.
