Kabba Bunu CTC Chairman Bans Felling of Economic Trees
A ban has been placed on the Felling of economic trees in Kabba Bunu LGA.
The Caretaker Committee Chairman, Kabba Bunu LGA, Barr Zacchaeus Dare made the disclosure in a statement issued to Newsmen, said henceforth, Felling of economic trees will attract arrest and prosecution.
According to the Chairman, falling of economic trees must be done with necessary approval and authorization form the Local Government.
According to the Chairman, ” going forward, all timber association and any other individual, if they fall any economic tree without authorization would be arrested for for prosecution”.
The indiscriminate felling of trees, the Chairman noted is to check deforestation.
