The Nigerian Police have been given a fourteen day ultimatum to investigate the matter leading to the dismissal of two officers, Babatunde Glorious and Biola Akawo in Kwara Police Command.
The two officers, Babatunde Glorious and Biola Akawo are accusing the high command of the Police Command in Kwara State for alledgly compromising in a Robbery case, fingered ACP Jeftta, ACP Oyeleye Adegboyega and others alledged to have connived, conspired, leading to their travails.
The Chief Executive Officer of Justice Helpline Foundation, Barr. Zaccaeus Dare Michael, called out the Inspector General of Police, to institute a high powered investigative team to determine the culpability of the mentioned officers in a trending video published by Punch.
In the video, the two police officers, said having tracked and arrested a car snatching syndicate, alledged that they were pressured to drop the case, free the suspects, but their refusal led to their fourteen days detention and subsequent dismissal.
The Chief Executive Officer of Justice Helpline Foundation, Barr. Dare warned that failure for the Inspector General of Police to come up with the report on the matter, said it would drag the Inspector General of Police to Court.
Barr. Dare lamented that the silence of the Inspector General of Police on the matter would bring the already battered image of the Police to redicule, expressed worry by the level of the allegation by the Police in Kwara State Command.
