International Women’s Day: Hon Leke Abejide Celebrates Women Across Yagba and Nigeria.
The Honourable Member Representing Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon. Leke Abejide celebrates women on the occasion of this year’s International Women’s Day.
He says the theme of this year’s women’s day has a strong message that women need to hold significantly “#ChooseToChallenge”.
He further says “Women are light bears in our communities and as such we must recognise and celebrate them at all times”. Their importance in building a healthy and peaceful society can not be underestimated” and as such we must join our hands to challenge gender-based violence, victimisation against women and rape.
“We must encourage them to take leadership positions and also support them so their voices will be heard and that their rights will be protected at all cost.
Therefore, today and every day, Hon. Leke Abejide celebrates the achievements of women and their contributions to the development of families, homes and communities.
To the strong and will-powered women who take up challenges to strive and pursue success, I say Happy International Women’s Day!
