The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo,made the statement when the management of Stallion Times Media Services Ltd (STMSL)payed him a courtesy visit in his office.
Hon. Fanwo said information is the key to how the digital society adds value and redistributes power in a6 connected world pointing out that because information gains power through permanent storage and wide distribution,it is his wish that The Graphic Newspaper is at the finger tips of every Nigerian.
He added that he will try his best possible to see to it that Kogi State Information sector goes global because the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello is at its peak of disseminating accurate information to the public and is ready to collaborate with STMSL and other media houses to positively project Kogi State to the outside world.
The Hon Commissioner appreciated the management of STMSL for taking it upon themselves to see that Kogi State Newspaper Corporation, the publisher of the Graphic Newspaper is well digitized saying that the commendable initiative will move The Graphic to greater heights.
Earlier, the CEO/Editor –in- Chief STMSL, Mr Isiyaku Ahmed expressed his gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for improving the information sector of the State adding that the Commissioner of Information and Communications is doing a great job in moving the Ministry forward expressing their wish to collaborate with the State Government to see that Kogi State Printing and Publishing Corporation digitally produces more of its usual publications saying that the online version is highly valued by the people, government officials, students and the public who are always on the go, for quick news on their palms by use of Andriod phones.
The Director of Digital and Printing Services of the Ministry, Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija,said that the Ministry is ready for more publications and going digital is a welcomed development for a wider coverage stressing that the Ministry is ready for fruitful collaboration.
