A two time member of the House of Representatives, Hon. He described the registration as the only constitutional power for citizens to exercise their franchise vis-a-vis elect leaders of their choice.
Hon. Karimi said the power of the ballot using the voters card remains the most lawful, peaceful and globally acceptable path to a change of leadership in an organisation, state and Nation under a democratic dispensation.
While acknowledging that the process of registration has been made easy by the electoral umpires through provision of both online and offline registration platforms, Hon. Karimi said regardless of location, distance an individual can get registered to their preferred voting point without wasting any travel time.
Hon. Karimi called on citizens to come out in their large numbers for the registration, insisting that the resonating calls for inclusion in governance process, gender equality and demand for leadership seat in the polity can only be consummated through the ballot, noting that it starts from being a registered voter.
According to Hon. Karimi, ” electing credible leaders starts from getting electoral process right; starting with the registration as eligible voters, appealed to the people to take the advantage to get registered.
