INEC Chairman: PDP Youth Leader Joins Gov. Ododo, Appreciates Tinubu, Congratulates Prof. Amupitan, SAN
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Leader in Kogi State has joined His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, in commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the well-deserved appointment of Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN, as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement released to the press, the PDP Youth Leader described the appointment of Professor Amupitan as a proud son of Okun land in Kogi State, a testament to the President’s commitment to excellence, merit, and national balance.
He further stated that, with Professor Amupitan’s distinguished career, integrity, and deep understanding of the law, Nigerians can look forward to a new era of electoral transparency, credibility, and fairness.
“As we join our governor in celebrating this honour to our dear state, the PDP Youth leader, also charge the new INEC Chairman to build on the gains of previous reforms and ensure that future elections truly reflect the will of the people. This is a call to duty, and we believe Professor Amupitan will justify the confidence reposed in him,” he said.
The PDP Youth Leader also urged all political actors, youth groups, and civil society organizations to rally behind the new INEC leadership in the collective effort to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy.
