Kogi State Government says Health Sector remains One of the major thematic trust in improving the health condition of the people.
Governor Yahaya Bello Stated this during the Matriculation of set 46,47 pc 30 of Kogi State College of Nursing and Midwifery Obangede during the weekend.
The Governor Represented by the Commissioner for Health Doctor Saka Haruna the health sector is receiving maximum attention in the scheme of things nationally and internationally.
Governor Bello described the event as significant noting that it Mark’s the official enrollment of matriculating students into the College in line with the approval of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
The Governor maintained that his administration has employed more staff in the college.
According to him construction of additional structure is on going in the College in order to compete with global standard
Governor Bello Commended the Governing Council, the Management, Staff and students for holding onto the vision of the New Direction administration pointing out that the state government will partner with relevant health agencies in the country to provide needed infrastructures in the College.
Earlier The Provost of the institution Doctor Hannah Abraham appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for providing enabling environment for the development of the institution and described him as Education friendly.
The Provost maintained that the goals of the institution is to train polyvalent nurse’s who can operate anywhere in the world adding that the college is expanding at a rapid rate.
According to her admission of students take place twice in a year noting that other Programme in nursing will be commencing as soon as possible.
The Provost also noted that forms for May 2022 admission will be on sale March next month, while the second batch sales will be in September, 2022, noting that students who can not meet up academic standard will be withdrawn.
She Congratulated the matriculating students and Prayed for good success and enjoined them to Shun evil vices.
