The former Edo governorship aspirant under the Labour Party (LP), Kenneth Imansugbon, has officially joined the African Democratic Party (ADC) in Edo state.

Speaking to journalists in Benin City after obtaining his membership card, Imansuagbon, said he is joining the ADC because it is the only credible alternative that will be a genuine change in the country.

“Nobody can come from anywhere to rescue Nigeria, it is Nigerians that will rescue themselves. I am joining the ADC because I am tired of hunger, it is no longer hunger but starvation”

Imasuagbon noted that he can’t be a part of the system where those in charge can’t ensure good governance, lamenting a high exchange rate among other failures of the APC-led government.

Imasuagbon added that by joining the ADC, he is ready to lead the battle for change and good governance, employment for youths, good education, and security among others.

He added that, “For me, I have an alternative now that is genuinely for change, alternatives that want to reduce food prices, love the common man, widows and students. That alternative is ADC”

“I moved from the labour party to the ADC because it is in line with my principle and aspirations of good governance. Nigerians should not entertain fear, and joined the ADC because it is the only vehicle for Nigeria to reach the promised land. Nobody can repair Nigeria other than Nigerians. People are saying why am i moving from one party to the other, I am tired of the killings, insecurity, poverty and the high cost of living” he stated.

He also blamed the APC led government for its inability to tackle the rising insecurity in the country especially in Benue and other states just as he said that, the nation has never been so divided as it is under the present leadership of Bola Tinubu.

According to him, those who are peddling the rumour that the ADC is planning to disrupt the government of the day are only trying to diminish the aims and objectives of the coalition which is to rescue Nigerians.

Adding that, those joining the ADC are people who detest bad governance and have vowed to rescue the country from collapsing.

He assured that, Before 2027, it would be glaring that the ruling party should pack and leave. We are going to witness massive decamping from other parties to ADC, Imasuagbon said.

Presenting him with the party’s card earlier at the party’s secretariat in Benin, Mr. Odion said Imansagbon has joined the party in order to redeem the nation from its economic quagmire.

According to Odion, we are here today to receive a man who has the feeling of the people at heart. A man who the people love because he has provided succour for the people and has the heart of a giver.
