Barrister Kenneth Imansuangbon (The Riceman) has promised the people of Edo State that his emergence as the governor of the state in September 2024 will bring a big relief, a turn around to the Education sector of the state.

The Labour Party (LP) governorship hopeful, who is the proprietor of the award winning Pacesetters Group of Schools, Abuja, was reacting to recent viral videos depicting the terrible state of the Education sector in the state, showing total failure of facilities in the sector ranging from lack of furniture and other equipment in classrooms such that students/pupils lie on the bare floor to receive lectures in classrooms that are so battered that they don’t have roofs.

“It is unbelievable that in the 21st century such very poor conditions are still noticeable in the Education sector of my dear state, Edo. And to cap it all this happening in an era when we are inundated with some plethora of acronyms of the state being rated as the number one in the Education sector across the country.

“In almost three decades I have operated the Pacesetters Group of Schools in six campuses in choice locations of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. We have maintained a standard that is hard to copy not to talk of surpass.

“I promise to commence the process of replicating this achievement in Edo State in less than three months that I assume office as the governor on Tuesday, 12th November, 2024. Achieving true greatness in the Education sector devoid of sloganeering and acronyms is the barest minimum that my administration will strive for.

“My administration will adopt the time tested module that is obtainable in the modern world whereby schools are now equivalents of second homes to pupils/students. Never again will children in Edo State be subjected to ridicule or caricature as a result of a failed Education sector,” Barrister Imansuangbon vowed.
