IJUMU DEVELOPMENT UNION (IDU) EXECUTIVES PAY FAMILIARIZATION VISIT TO IJUMU TRADITIONAL HRM OLUJUMU OF IJUMU KINGDOM

The executive members of the Ijumu Development Union has paid visit to the Olujumu of Ijumu kingdom and other royal highnesses in Ijumu land.

In his address, the president of Ijumu Development Union, (Rtd.) DSP Kayode Olorunmaiye (JP) said it was necessary for the body to pay homage to the royal father to brief him about their agenda towards the development of Ijumu kingdom.

Mr. Olorunmaiye said the excos are ready to facilitate every necessary action needed, in terms of security safety of lives and properties of Ijumu land.

He further said security post will be built in some red spots of armed robbers/kidnappers which will go round all 3 districts in Ijumu land. He also said patrol vehicles will be provided as time goes on.

He promised HRM Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni to work hand-in-hand with all the royal fathers in the land (Ijumu). He further said all their agenda will be accomplished with the full support of the Royal highness.

In his response, HRM Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni, the Olujumu of Ijumu thanks the executives of IDU for their visit, saying they have started on a right part, he described the present excos as a round peg inside a round hole, that he has noticed their seriousness since they assumed duty.

He further said that IDU has come a long way with every excos at his own time leaving a legacy behind, that the present excos should be known for their noble contributions to the overall development of ijumu land and also demonstrated the enthusiasm for the development of Ijumu – land. Oba Ayeni said he has not been happy about the increase rate or armed robbers and kidnappers in Ijumu land, he urged the union to do every assistance at their disposal to crumble the increase rate of the criminals in the land. He finally gave his royal blessings.
The IDU executives also visited some royal father in their communities among who were: HRH Oba Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu, the Olu-Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, the Ologidi of Ogidi, HRH Oba R.O Sule, HRH Obaro of Iyamoye, Oba Ibrahim MOmoh, HRH the Eleta of Iyara, HRH the Alayere of Ayere and HRH Oba J.O Ogundare, the Obaro of Egbeda-Egga.
Some of the excos on the visit led by the National President Rtd. DSP Olorunmaiye Kayode are the: National General Secretary, Comrade Ahmed Ade Fatai, Mr. Ogunbamiwa Yinusa Sesan, National Treasurer, Mr. Ibitoye Felix, Director of Social, Mrs. Olumosunle Jumoke, Assistant Director of Social, Mrs. Medayedu Abiodun, National Publicity Secretary and Rev. Canon PRO Olorundare (JP), Assistant National Secretary among others.
