Comr. Miliki Tasks CBN, Kogi People To join Hands to Repair Hassan Usman Katsina Road


 

The Executive Director, Center for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution, Comrade Idris Miliki has called for collective efforts to fix the Hassan Usman Katsina road, described it as becoming embarrassing to the State.

Comr. Miliki says if the State Government cannot fix the roads, called on the Central Bank to through its Corporate Social Responsibilities Program intervane on the road.

He further said if the CBN is not able to fix the road, called for the people to contribute individually to repair the road, described the hardship faced by people plying the road as unquantifiable.

In a statement of URGENT NEED FOR INTERVENTION ON HASSAN KATSINA ROAD: the Activists writes as follows.

The road from Zone 8 Roundabout to Kogi State, House of Assembly is in sorry State that needs urgent repair.

This all important road, host the Zone 8 police command Headquarters, the Central Bank of Nigeria, the State Headquarters of the State security services, the State House of Assembly, The headquarters of the judiciary, customs, and the stadium.

It is worrysome for such important road to be left in such dilapidated condition.

We call on the the central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to through their social responsibilities intervane in this embarrassing situation.

The road is causing the institutions particularly the once own by federal government serious embarrassment.

Now that we’re in the raining period the usual flooding have commenced subjecting the pupils, students, workers, residents and tax payers in the state to untold hardship However, if nothing meaningful could be achieved by the state government and relevant institutions, we call on the people, to let us raise money through contribution to repair some of the worst portion on the road particularly, the front of the stadium.
