If we can’t all vigorously campaign for a Yagba Senate now, then we’re only doing eye service for Okun Governorship – Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi.

Our people can be very funny and deliberately comical, we as Okun people cannot do justice to ourselves, we can’t rotate what’s in our hands with fairness, we can’t see ourselves as the same by simply rotating the Senate seat and we expect Ebira and Igala to take us serious on Governorship, no way.

Yorubas says “ile la’ti ‘nko ésó re’ode”

The February 25th election offers an unusual opportunity for Okun to demonstrate unity, fairness, justice and readiness for Governorship through the Senate election by loudly, openly and totally supporting Yagba ticket.

It offers an unprecedented opportunity for Yagba, the only marginalized federal Constituency to have her fair share of representation at the Senate.

If we can’t all vigorously campaign for a Yagba Senate now, then we’re only doing eye service for Okun Governorship.

The prayer we need to be able to produce a Governor is less important compared to the UNITY we need to produce it, which will only come through a Senate for Yagbaland. If we are indeed serious, let us pray for Yagba Senate and the strength for Governorship race will become stronger and achievable.

Let us know that injustice against Yagba on Senate is worse than injustice against Kogi West on Governorship seat. Let us also know that both Ebira and Igala are watching us to see how fair we can be, just as Lokoja/Koto are watching to see how united we are for the cause.

Let us elevate our unity above individual or party gains, let’s collectively see the bigger picture for a greater tomorrow for Okunland.
