ICDA ELECTIONS 2021: SCREENING HAS ENDED.


 

Elections into the national executive of the IGALA CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (ICDA) is scheduled to hold this Saturday, 2nd of October at the IGALA UNITY HOUSE AYINGBA.

The Sale of EXPRESSION OF INTEREST & NOMINATION FORMS closed on Monday 20th, September, 2021, submission of forms and screening of all aspirants was concluded on Tuesday, 28th September, 2021.

The above was contained in a statement by the ICDA National Electoral Committee, constituted by the ICDA National Executive empowered by the ICDA board of trustees and endorsed by the Igala Traditional Council.

According to the statement, the focus and mandate of the ICDA national electoral committee is to deliver a near perfect election devoid of any rancour and backed by the laws of the federal government of Nigeria in line with the constitution of the ICDA duly recognized by the laws of Nigeria.

It is on record that the committee has been transparent with open doors for every progressive stakeholder and all citizens of Igala land across various divides and interest have been carried along thus far.

The committee Secretary Barr.M.A. Abaji commended Igala sons and daughters worldwide for their tremendous participation in this election process while thanking the Igala traditional council for standing on the side of truth and the people.

The committee chairman Moses Ebute, a senior advocate of Nigeria also emphasized the need to deliver a brand new executive to take the Igala nation to higher heights stressing that the people of Igala are spread all over the world and it is important to unite them to their cultural root in Idah thus a worthy executive is vital for the Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA).
