In an interview with Sahara TV, a Nigerian lawyer, Dele Forotimi, stated that if Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress flagbearer, succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari, he would go into exile and renounce his Nigerian citizenship.
He was asked about his views on those the political parties have presented as their presidential candidates. Talking about Bola Tinubu, Dele Forotimi said the great man speaks volumes about the kind of country we have become. He said he does not consider him as a candidate.
He also revealed that he said something back then, and he also posted it on his social media page recently. “For the record, if it pleases God to keep me alive and Nigeria were to find itself in the unfortunate position of having Bola Tinubu succeed Muhammadu Buhari, I will proceed into exile before he is sworn in and shall there after renounce my Nigerian citizenship.”
