I will declare state of emergency on educational sector says Umar Bago donates 3 buses, 3 million naira for fueling to NUT.

The Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Niger state, Umar Mohammed Bago said if elected he will declare a state of emergency on the educational sector in the state.

The All Progressives Congress Governorship candidate, Umar Bago stated this when he was ushered into the SEC meeting of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT that took place at Labaran Garba international conference center Minna by the former Chairman of the Union Comrade , said that he came to partner with them because of the importance he personally attached to Teaching profession.

He stressed that if elected, he will make sure that the decay infrastructure in the sector recieve urgent attention and to make sure that plights of teachers in the state are addressed “am aware that Teacher in the state are the least paid, TSS and accomodations of teachers shall recieve the attention of my administration if elected”.

“I promise you that if elected the percentage salary payment to primary school teachers stop, that I also assure you, any where your accrued End Well, Cooperative contribution are, I will make  sure is refunded to you, that I also assure you if elected”

He mentioned that training and re training of Teachers shall receive serious attention, to enable Teacher’s give back their best to the society, “we are in a digital world i will make sure Teachers in the state are computer literate and each teacher shall be empowered with a laptop to make your teaching easier”.

“I will make sure that Teachers in the state live were their schools are located for covienience and to enable them monitor students and impact  good behavior and knowledge to the students “.

The Governorship candidate Umar Bago, then donated three buses to the Nigeria Union of Teachers with three million naira for fueling to ease their transportation difficulties.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Alhaji Mohammed Adamu Akayago, mentioned some numerous challenges the member’s of the Union are faced with,which include none implementation of TSS,, none implementation of promotion, none refund of End Well subscriptions, outstanding arrears of check off dues which are still laying in government Treasury.

He then assured Bago that with teachers strength of over fourty thousand (40,000.00),promise to support him in the coming general election.
