As the discuss for poverty eradication, social protection and increased livelihood of persons continue to take centre stage in development politics world wide, Alh. Maikudi Yusuf (Leader) has promised to advocate through legislative instruments the reduction of Urban Poverty in Lokoja 1 State Assembly Constituency if supported to represent the people in 2023.
Alh. Maikudi Yusuf (Leader) said this in a response to select journalists after his visit to the Local Government Peoples Democratic Party Executive Committee to seek their support.
He contended that Lokoja as a state capital is not growing at the desired rate economically and regretted that the tourism potentials of the area are not fully harnessed for full economic advantage of the people.
Alh. Maikudi Yusuf (Leader) while assuring the party of effective representation he was quick to remind them that as a former party chairman himself, he is always ready to be part of the crusade to support that party members are supported always.
The Member of Assembly Hopeful also assured the people that he will make concerted effort to improve on the educational standing of his people. He promised to initiate programmes that will encourage Education for All in the area, this according to him is the only gate way to sustainable development of the area.
The visitation programme was well attended by party stakeholders even as the Local Government Peoples Democratic Party Executive Committee assured him of their support describing him as an uncommon ambassador whose interest is always the upliftment of the downtrodden.
Various speakers eulogized Alh. Maikudi Yusuf (Leader) for his steadfastness and commitment to the party and development of Lokoja community.
