HYPPADEC Fetes Staff To Breaking of Fast in Kogi


 

As Kogi State Coordinator commend HYPPADEC MD, Arch. Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa for Fostering Inter Religious Harmony.

 

 

The Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, Kogi State office have held a one day prayer and fasting program with a call on staff to make service to God and humanity a priority.

The Kogi State Coordinator of HYPPADEC, Engr. Mrs Joan Oguche made the call at the breaking of fast by the Staff today, urged them to strive to make God a priority even as they redouble their efforts in service delivery.

 

The prayers and fasting was observed by the Muslims and Christian Staff with prayers at the Commission’s Mosque said Chapel, located at the premises of the Commission’s office in Lokoja.

 

The State Coordinator described the accomplishments recorded by the Commission within the short time it was established as made possible by God, lauded the initiative of the Managing Director of HYPPADEC, Arch. Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa
for building inter religious harmony in the Commission, lauded his approval that led to the building of a Mosque and Chapel for Staff of the organization.

Engr. Joan said the prayer and fasting program seeks to bring the Staff closer to God and to pray for the leadership of the Country, State and Commission towards making service to God and humanity a priority.

 

The State Coordinator described the Managing Director as a shining example in leadership, described his efforts in the Commission as reasons for the unprecedented achievements recorded by the Commission thus far.

Engr. Joan urged the staff to draw closer to God their m, strive to make eternity at last as what should be their focus, even as they rededicate themselves to ensuring that the laudable objectives for setting up of the Commission is realized.

She promised the commitment of HYPPADEC to service delivery, said the interventions by the Commission in HYPPADEC catchment areas of the State has made the Commission a household name.

Speaking on the fasting and Prayer program by the Commission, Mr. Michael Omeiza Ajayi, Area officer Kogi Local Government Area said the staffers of the Commission as a way of appreciating the accomplishments recorded by the Commission, choose to set aside the day as a mark of honour for God.

The program Mr. Michael observes afford the staff of the Commission the opportunity to pray for the leadership of the Commission, added that it helps in fostering unity and oneness amongst the Staff.

Similarly, Ndubisi Chinedu Paul, HYPPDEC Idah Zonal officer, described the significant of the prayers by both religion as one geared towards fostering unity, sense of purpose, praised the Managing Director and the State Coordinator for providing the much desired leadership in the Commission.

Highlights of the Fasting and Prayer program by HYPPADEC Staff was separate prayers in the Mosque and Chapel located in the Commission as well as eating together to break the fast.

Some of the staffers of the Commission described the innovation as far reaching, pointing you that aside spiritual rejuvenation, they are spurred to rededicate themselves to greater service delivery in the Commission.
