Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Hon. Minister, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development (FMHADMSD) has proven beyond doubt to be a naturally public-spirited person.
She has not left a stone unturned in ensuring to minister to the needy and vulnerable Nigerians in all the ways that her capacity could go and even going the extra miles to achieve this noble goal.
The several intervention programmes and policy initiatives rolled out under her watch, to attain the objectives of the ministry’s existence, amongst which are the Conditional Transfers, N-Power, Government and Empowerment Programmes (GEEP), National Home-Grown School Feeding Programmes, are just evidences of who she truly is; indeed no one gives whatever he/she does not have.
An adage in my dialect says the work of a tailor can only be testified to by what she wears. Farouq is indeed a born altruistic fellow.
The Best Strategic Media (TBS) is highly rated by me, to have selected Farouq for an Award of Excellence in Public Service, among the 44 awardees throughout the federation, in recognition of her excellent performance in uplifting the plight of the vulnerable ones in Nigeria. TBS’ judgement on the minister was accurate!
Only the God Almighty can adequately reward such a woman as Farouq.
I seize this opportunity to say congratulations to you ma, as you mark your 48th birthday.
