
OONI OF IFE TO CONSECRATE ROYAL SCEPTER.
The Ejuku Development Society has announced its plans to host dignitaries from all walks of life and well-wishers at the Coronation Ceremonies of the newly appointed Oba of Ejuku, HRM Lamidi Folorunsho Ayeni. The Elejuku of Ejuku land on Saturday 29th of Oct 2022.
The event which the Organising Committee Chairman, Engr Leke Peters promises to be unique and symbolic will attract the presence of creme de la crème personalities in the Royalty and Governance sector.
A statement released by the Coronation Committee through the Media and Publicity Sub Committee and made available to the Press ahead of the event reads:
“We are glad to inform the world that the stage is set for the Coronation Ceremonies of our Kabiyesi Oba Lamidi Folorunsho Ayeni The Elejuku of Ejuku on the 29th of Oct 2022.
The event which will have great personalities in attendance will host His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the Special Guest of Honor and Ooni of Ife HRM Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja the 1, Head of the Spiritual Troupes and coronation activities in Oodua Land”
The statement further reads:” this particular event is symbolic because it is a three-fold celebration of the appointment of the king, elevation of the Elejuku stool from Second Class to First Class stool and the Consecration and Coronation of the Kabiyesi’s Royal Sceptre by the Ooni himself and the induction of the Elejuku stool into the league of Yoruba Royalty Traditional Institution.
The event promises to be one of its kind and is hoped to attract dignitaries from all walks of life, the state Governor and his delegation, Traditional Rulers from different Communities, business associates of the celebrant, diplomats, traditional institutions, friends and well-wishers and Ejuku sons and daughters from far and near.
We shall also use the event to appreciate the commitment and contribution of some deserving members of the community, friends and well-wishers whose actions have lifted the community in one way or the other with the presentation of Awards of Excellence and Honorary Chieftaincy titles and as well, launch a 500million Naira Development Appeal Fund.
