
Hon. Yahaya Umar Praises Gov. Ododo’s Water Scheme Initiative in Omala LGA.

The Member Representing Omala State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Yahaya Umar, has commended Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for his announcement to rehabilitate the water scheme in Omala LGA.
The lawmaker described the move as a watershed moment, saying it will provide water and protect residents from waterborne diseases.
Hon. Umar revealed that he his also constructing boreholes across the Local Government’s 11 wards as a personal project, with motorized boreholes nearing completion.
“We are working tirelessly to ensure our people have access to clean water, reducing waterborne diseases,” he said.
The lawmaker also highlighted his other initiatives, including building cottage hospitals, supporting education with scholarships and computer skills training, and providing computers and grants to students.
He mentioned ongoing construction of a police post in Olaedehi and plans for a Town Hall or Cottage Hospital in Abejukolo through personal efforts made possible by the enabling environment created by Gov. Ododo as part of his vision for a better Omala State Constituency.
Hon. Umar attributed the governor’s support for security as excellent, reiterating his commitment to serving humanity and quality representation in the State Assembly.
