Hon. Umar Yahaya, Member Representing Omala Conferred With Turaki Igala Lafia Title.


 

The Member, Representing Omala State Constituency in the State Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Umar Yahaya was today conferred with the title of Turaki Igala Lafia, Nasarawa State by the Onu Igala, Nasarawa State.

 

The Onu Igala Nasarawa State, Mallam Yunusa Ibrahim Momo 11, the Onu Igala said the title conferred on the Lawmaker is based on the lawmakers patriotism and passion for development.

 

At a well attended occasion in Lafia, by former Governors, other eminent personalities from across the country, the Onu Igala Nasarawa described the Omala Lawmaker as a man passionately committed to uplifting his Constituency.

The Traditional Ruler urged Hon. Umar to sustain his empowerment and support to the vulnerable, described his scholarship scheme for people of his constituency as commendable.

The Traditional Ruler urged other lawmakers and politicians to emulate the footsteps of Hon. Umar, described him as an upwardly mobile politician with focus in improving on the lives of his people.

The event was attended by Onuh Igalas from Plateau, Benue and other states, including the delegation of the State Government attended the colourful ceremony.

Speaking after the Conferment of the title, Hon. Umar Yahaya described the Conferment as one that would spur him in greater service to humanity.

He described his support to the indigent and vulnerable as a passion, assured that he will leverage on his lawmaking platform to improve on the quality of lives of the people of his Constituency.

Hon. Umar said the title will spur him in doing more, assured that his best in giving back to the Society would be improved upon through quality legislation.
