The Executive Chairman of Yagba West Local Government, Hon. Pius Kolawole, today Sunday 22nd, August, 2021 made history as he officially Flagg’s – off the clearing of road sides along Federal Roads across Yagba West boundaries.
The exercise which is a preventive measure taking by the council boss to stem the tide of robbery and improved visibility along the major highways has began between Odo-Eri – Opekan- Ejiba axis.
The council boss who explained that, for any meaningful economic progress to take place, lives and peoples investments must be secured. Hence the need to embark on the project.
He further reiterated his commitment to fulfilling its electoral promises to the people of Yagba West which necessitated the recovery and refurbishment of the Bulldozer which has been abandoned by previous administration.
The Executive Chairman who expressed his appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello for assisting the Local government to achieve that feat, explained that the intervention of the Governor made the job possible.
Hon. Pius also commended the support of the Hon. Commissioner for Local government and the Auditor general of Local government for their support and encouragement.
Meanwhile, Pius has continue to receive encomium by passers-by and other residents of Yagba West for the efforts described as unprecedented.
