Hon. Gambo Hails Successful PDP Zonal Congress, Says Courage Ensuring Rule of Law Commendable.
… Insists “I’m Kogi PDP duly elected Chairman”.
Hon. Mohammed Sanni Gambo, who finished second in the 31st August, 2024, Kogi State Congress of the People’s Democratic Party has praised the Party for organizing a hitch free and successful Congress held at Jos, the Plateau State Capital at the weekend.
Hon. Gambo described the congress as well organized, particularly commended the Zonal Congress planning Committee for a job welldone.
Hon. Gambo commended the party for working within the ambit of the law, lauded them for not mortgaging the future of the PDP, in Kogi State.
He described the non recognition of of Enemona Anyebe as Chairman, following Court order barring his participation as well as the several court judgement that described his participation in the Congress as null and void.
The runner up who said he remains the PDP Chairman of the State, only waiting for the Party to ratify his emergence as well as the court where he said he has gone to sought justice.
The PDP Chairmanship hopeful expressed optimism that now that the party is strictly following the rule of law, doing things to reposition the Party, hopes that very soon he will be pronounced.
” Enemona Anyebe was not a contestant in that election of August 31st 2024. I scored the highest votes. The PDP Chairmanship was zoned to the East and I fall within the zone. Democratically, the election was adjudged as free and fair by INEC and PDP.
“Everyone attested to the election during the Congress as free and fair, best ever conducted by the Party. I’m therefore appealing for Justice.
“Is it because I have no Godfather. Why am I being discriminated against even though I’m also from the East Senatorial District. It is unfortunate that people want to benefit votes not because they scored more votes than I do but on the basis of the zone they come from”
“While I commend the NWC, I deeply appreciate the effort of the Zonal planning committee for staying on the truth and for telling the mischief makers in the party that the right thing must be done.
