Hon. Asmau Gogo Kabir, the Special Adviser on Women Affairs to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello lauds the National Chairman of the APC for approving a free nomination form for all female aspirants vying for elective positions in the APC.
While speaking to News men at lokoja Kogi State capital yesterday, she first of all commended the leadership style of Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello as worthy of emulation, citing the inclusion of women in governance and other great exploits. She said the governor has surpassed the 35% Gender Equality Beijing Affirmative Action.
She, however, thanked the National APC for emulating the style of her Boss by making APC a platform gender friendly by making nomination forms free for all women aspiring for elective positions as finance has always been one of the stumbling blocks for women getting involved.
But this time it is going to be a very different ball game she said.
Once again, she called on all vibrant female politicians under the platform of the APC to see this as an opportunity to get involved and run for various offices as this has been the long awaiting opportunity they crave for.
In her closing remarks, she appreciated Hon. Dr. Betta Edu, the national woman leader of the APC for championing a good fight and of course this has shown how capable she is to pilot the affair of the APC women nationwide…. Continue reading
